Origins of The White Tiger

I was a servant once. Today, I’m a celebrated entrepreneur in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. I offer to tell you, free of charge, the truth about India by telling you the story of my life.

The motion picture "The White Tiger," released on Netflix in 2021, is a rags-to-riches story based on the 2008 novel of the same title by Aravind Adiga. The director of the film, Ramin Bahrani, was classmates with Adiga at Columbia University and read the novel before it was published and became an award-winning bestseller. A dozen years later he was directing its film adaptation.

Starring Adarsh Gourav in his first leading role supported by Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra, the film tells the story of a poor boy growing up in rural India whose destiny is to be a servant to the rich, but who gradually adopts extreme means to advance himself.
