What/If? is a flipped gender roles version of Indecent Proposal.
'“This whole idea is ripped out of a bad ‘90s movie,” says Lisa in this Netflix melodrama series in which a wealthy venture capitalist played by Renee Zellweger offers to invest $80 million in her company in exchange for one night alone with her husband. The movie she refers to is Indecent Proposal starring Robert Redford, Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson, which was based on the acclaimed 1980s novel by Jack Engelhard. In the respectfully titled movie, Redford's character offers Harrelson $1 million for a night with his wife. The pricetag for such indencies has certainly escalated in 30 years.
