Gardening at a Higher Level

Raised bed gardening can bring your garden to a higher level, if you already have one, and if new to gardening, it will literally get it off the ground.

This book in “The First Time Gardener” series of instructionals, provides the basics on where and how to start a raised garden, what to plant and how to care for what emerges from the soil.

The author, CaliKim, is a backyard organic gardener with a popular YouTube channel called CaliKim Garden and Home. Much of the content in the book, including layouts and plans for themed gardens like a kitchen garden, salad garden and a kids garden can be supplemented from a library of tutorials on her channel.

The advantages of raised bed gardening — controlled growing environment, fertile soil, easy on the back and knees, effective drainage — are detailed in these brightly illustrated pages full of plans, tips and encouragement.
