Fear of Ants
The word for this phobia usually applies to species of plants that recoil or don’t respond well in the presence of ants, but many people are equally freaked out by ants. Research on phobias suggest that swarm-based fears may apply to other kinds of insects (beetles, flies, wasps) and even large numbers of inanimate objects like robots.
