Frozen Custard Day

The smooth texture and fresh taste of frozen custard is celebrated August 8 each year. A cold, creamy dessert made of milk, cream, sweetener, and eggs, it has a richer, thicker, and creamier texture than ice cream. It was invented. Food historians credit its invention to Coney Island ice cream vendors Archie and Elton Kohr, who introduced it to their customers in 1919.
