With unsalted unshelled raw peanuts.
That brought the "Jays" to our deck
A family of Steller's marked
By their prominent white brows.
While other jays squawked loudly
Those with the brows waited politely
For the peanuts we procured
Carrying them off one by one
To hidey holes in brush and rockpiles
Returning for as many as we'd provide.
