The national day of Portugal, Camões, and the Portuguese Communities (Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas) is celebrated annually on 10 June by Portuguese people throughout the world, commemorating the 1580 death of poet laureate Luís de Camões.
