International Children's Day

Children's Day is recognized on various days in many nations to call attention to children's issues. The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland, proclaimed June 1 to be International Children's Day in 1925. Many countries followed its lead, but others have selected their own days to honor children.
