Celebrated in the USA annually on June 14th to honor the classic cocktail made with whiskey (or brandy), sugar, bitters, and citrus. Known as the "world's first cocktail," it is celebrated for its simple, traditional recipe. 

Irish Whiskey Old Fashioned

3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 orange slice
1 lemon wedge
1 maraschino cherry
1 sugar cube
Ice cubes
2 ½ fluid ounces (75mL) Irish whiskey

Put the bitters, orange slice, lemon wedge, maraschino chery, and sugar cube in an Old Fashioned glass and muddle well. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add the whiskey. Stir well.
