Scopophobia is a phobia characterized by an intense, excessive, and irrational fear of being looked at, watched, or stared at by others. Individuals with scopophobia may feel extreme anxiety, panic, or discomfort in situations where they believe they are being observed, even during everyday interactions or when surrounded by friends, family, or strangers. This condition can be so severe that it leads to avoidance of social situations, professional engagements, or even leaving the house, causing significant impairment in daily functioning.
