For anyone unfamiliar with the term paczki, it is a doughnut filled with confiture or other sweets, sometimes glazed or dusted with powdered sugar. Sometimes called a kreple, this Polish pastry is a Fat Tuesday favorite; consequently, Paczki Day is observed the day before Ash Wednesday.
