Sponsored by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, this is an old fashioned corn roast that includes live music, a carnival, a parade, corn shucking contest, beer garden, cornhole tournament, and lots of roasted corn on the cob.
The festival celebrates the area’s agricultural heritage, particularly its connection to sweet corn.
When the festival began in 1894, roasted corn was the main attraction, especially for those arriving from Denver by stagecoach. The open-flame roasted corn was so popular and distinctive that it quickly became the centerpiece of the festival.
Plan on attending this festival in late August at Fairgrounds Park in Loveland.
