This annual food festival in Holland, Texas celebrates the local cash crop with a parade, 5k run, contests, concert and dance, barbecue cook-off, arts & crafts, and much more.
Begun in 1975 as a bicentennial celebration honoring Holland’s agricultural heritage, this festival has grown into a cherished annual fundraiser and community event.
Highlights of the festival include a community parade, a quirky chicken flying contest, m and corn-related competitions such as corn eating, corn shucking, corn bobbing, corn seed spitting, and corn cob throwing.
