This is the Sunday of rain and a swollen river
Birdsongs and honking geese
At Starbucks on Broadway in Boise
Hear the rattle of the baristas
And the steam from espresso machines
Crooner music in the background
Feeling anxious about my checklist
Keeping up with my own expectations of creating and posting content
Time passes all too quickly
And not enough gets checked off
In the hubris of my youth
I assumed there would be time
For many choices
