In Daylight Saving
There's a melancholy
I cannot name.
Not wanting to do
What I wanted to do
And feeling unable to continue
What I have been doing
Or could be doing.
What I want most
Is to lighten up
And stop the heaviness.
What comes from lightness
I do not know
But I venture there.
Dusk falls at seven-thirty now
In Daylight Saving space
And darkness waits 'til eight
