3 May is Święto Konstytucji, or Constitution Day, in Poland, a national public holiday celebrating the declaration of Poland’s constitution on 3 May in 1791.
Usually part of a three-day holiday that includes Labor Day on 1 May, Constitution Day is celebrated with military parades, spring concerts and family picnics. Ceremonies may be held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Grób Nieznanego Żołnierza) in Warsaw’s Piłsudski Square , which is dedicated to unknown soldiers who gave their lives for Poland.
